Did You Know?

Did you know that today is "Cyber Monday" the term coined for the Monday after Thanksgiving. The good news for online shoppers this year is that "Cyber Monday" is becoming the Web shopping equivalent to "Black Friday" when retailers launch major sales and discounts to drive traffic. Consumers are seen spending $19.6 billion on non-travel goods on U.S. Internet sites during November and December, 2005, up 24 percent from $15.8 billion during the same period last year, according to comScore Networks.

Let me start with 2004 Online Shopping Stats

Holiday Shopping online increased 25 percent in 2004. The eSpending Report from Goldman Sachs, Harris Interactive and Nielsen/NetRatings showed online sales in 2004 jumped to $23.2 billion, up $4.7 billon, from 2003. The report is based on surveys of more than 1,000 individuals who purchased online between Nov. 1 and Dec. 26. , 2004
